Description:

The General Medicine programme at Masaryk University’s Faculty of Medicine is a comprehensive medical degree designed to prepare students for a career in medicine through rigorous scientific and clinical training. The curriculum combines a strong foundation in biomedical sciences with extensive practical experience, enabling students to develop the knowledge, clinical skills, and professional competencies required to diagnose, treat, and prevent disease. Students benefit from modern teaching facilities, research opportunities, and early exposure to clinical practice in affiliated hospitals and healthcare institutions.

To support prospective students, the Faculty also offers a Foundation Programme for applicants intending to study General Medicine or Dentistry. This preparatory course provides targeted training in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, helping students build the academic skills needed for both the entrance examination and the first year of their medical studies. Through a balanced and structured curriculum, the programme strengthens scientific understanding and eases the transition into one of the university’s demanding healthcare degree programmes.
